like what for example? i don't want to be mislead or try one of their tips and it come out all wrong. Blown, what other trans can i use to mount up to my 303 motor with no problems? did you check out the other post i put up asking for help olds related? check out "attn oldsmobile gurus" thanks
those guys are all into 442's and such, they don't know squat about rockets.if blownolds doesn't know you can always ask DON-WOW (Rocketeer#1),or bigjim394,or myself.you really ought to give some serious thought to using the hydra-matic,they were the original and best automatic trans for years.they were so good that after olds introduced them in 1940 cadillac, pontiac, lincoln, nash, hudson, rambler, kaiser, willys, gmc, chevy trucks and Rolls-Royce all used it.the engine in my '54 was junk, broken rings, knurled pistons, and a huge ridge in the cylinders.i adjusted the bands on the trans and adjusted the throttle/kickdown linkage and it works GREAT! if you need help setting it up just ask,i'll tell you how.if i ever get hold of a digi-cam i'll take pictures of how i set it upto use the original linkage on my 3x2 carb set-up-george
BTW where the fuck is monterey park? if you bring your trans up here i'll check it out for you,but you gotta buy the pizza
thanks for the invite to pick your brain. i was brought up on chevy power and th350 and 400's. so now that i'm going to rocket power it's all new to me. it's like taking my first baby steps all over again. it sounds that you swear by Olds power. i'm not to mechanically incline but i do know my way around a shop and i can pull my own weight. body work is my field i've been doing it now for 12 years. i can't tell you what will adapt to what or what you can swap out but give me a body hammer, a welder and i'll let the magic unfold. by the way Monterey Park is 10mins from Downtown L.A and 15min from Pasadena. you know the "Rose Parade"
