If this is terribly un-related, please delete the post with my appologies...

I'm working on fixing up a 1956 Gator trailer, and am looking for a source for reproducing the Decal at the rear of the trailer. If anyone on here could do the work or knows of someone who could, please let me know... The decal will need to be able to be submerged in water periodically.

    Thanks in adavance!

    Picture of decal posted below.

Oh and the decal would only have to be 2 color if that helps. Red and white... Thanks!

  3. Any modern sign shop should be able to reproduce that as a vinyl sticker.

You can even get a single sticker made at cafe press. I'll have to find the site for you if you want. Get a better, closer shot of the decal and give the decal dimensions. Looks like it has some smaller text also at the bottom.

All you need to have is the artwork done and upload it to them and get one made for around 3 bucks.

awesome, thanks both of you... I have good experience with photoshop so that's what I'll do, create an image and ship it out!

doit your self on your computer just need to buy some decal paper and scan in the picture or look and match the font size it and make as many as you want

actually a skill you can use in other cases also,

not that emailing off a picture is a bad thing and have some one else do it

  9. You guys will spot Olds valve covers on a SBC at 100 paces but you couldn't tell incorrect fonts if you were dancing with them. Those eBay stickers are brutal.

yes, I totally agree.. I put the image on Ebay next to my photo... ouch! I think the guy picked the closest Font in MS Word and gave it a whirl... I will be scanning my own image and photoshoping it to my satisfaction.... that way if it's off, it's my fault! and I can do the labor for free... thanks for all of the advice from you all,.. just goes to show you there are many different ways to skin the cat when talkiing about vintage decal duplication! thanks again!

  11. Sorry Andy, I'm a bit of a font geek/jerk. :D

As long as you get good crisp, clear photos of that sticker before it somes off there are plenty of ways of reproducing it. Take a measurement too.

Contact Nostalgic Racing Decals in Florida.

We do all the art in vector grafhics so it can be made for either a model car or a 24' race trailer without any effect on the image quality.

All of our decals images are avilable in either peel and stick or the Old Skool style of water transfer for either the inside or the outside of your car window.

Really you're gonna pimp your stuff on a 2 year old thread? I would think he may have solved this issue by now.

HAHAHA... just hoped on the HAMB here before bed and saw this thread was at the top... hahaahaha... Silly FNG...

For the record though, since I did not have the sense to post it back here... LOWCAB took my photo and made the best image file for me, getting everything right... my hats off to him, he is such a standup guy as many on here already know!

If anyone has a Gator trailer, feel free to PM me and I will forward the high resolution jpeg for the decal to you for FREE, since this is exactly what LOWCAB did for me... as long as you give your word that you will not reproduce the decal for profit.
