I have heard of H.A.M.B for a while, but a freind finally prompted me to sign in and join the classic lovers crowd. I am 36 and I own a 1957 chevy small window, long bed, 1/2 ton truck. I have already started on making this a daily driver. After a few dump runs and working the truck as a truck should be used, I decided to pamper it a bit. I now have a 350 motor, th350 transmission, changed out the rear corners and the driverss door. not show quality, but good enough to be proud to drive it. That is about it.
It is great to have access to the knowledge from folks on the HAMB. The truck I am working on now is a low buget driver. With that being said, here are some pics and what I have already done. Pulled the bed, sand blasted and por15 coated, replaced the gearset in the rearend (for now) pulled the old drive train and installed 350/350. Changing out wiring harness, cab corners and filled in a HUGE hole in the dash that some idiot cut for a stereo. removed the handle fron the doors and have to figure out a new lock release. I am currently blasting the front frame, lowering (mono springs) por15 undercarrage and painting. I am doing it all myself so it is not going to be perfect, but that is the fun of it. thanks for the comments johnny
