So you hosers that labelled me a 'gold-chainer' when I bought this car gave me such a complex that my shrink advised me to get rid of it! So off she goes to a new home in Charlotte. In all seriousness, that car was way too nice for me.....the paint was a mile deep in luster and deserved to stay shined up and primped. That just ain't me. I'm more of a jump in and drive the shit out of it type. So it's gone and a new chapter begins for us both.......
It may well be, my friend, but I am willing to bet you will miss it. Just remember labels are only used by envious people. Good luck in finding just what you will feel comfy with.
Thanks, I already have 2 heaps that keep me happy, building a third for shits and giggles....and the track. The Cabrio was just occupying space, so.....
to me each person is to there own, some like the rust look , some like the primer look , some like me like to see our cars in paint ( year correct color for me ) My Dad and uncles when they had there cars they were painted , no primer , ( one of the uncles was a car painter at Ford in Chicago when they used to do them by hand and owned a bodyshop on the side) as my uncle would paint them for them , and he did some of the weird stuff of the Phsycodelic 60's with lace and doilies and heavy flake paint , but my dads old Fords were always dark Blues or black , his younger brother ran White cars . and the third was Greens . and like my freinds and I say you dont like it tough shit , buy your own and build it and paint it your way .
