Hot Rods Goodbye

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Road Kill PU, Feb 14, 2011.

  1. Well, I just watched the RoadKill truck roll out of the drive way. I have mixed emotions but it is a done deal. It's funny the attachments we have for our hot rods. We put a lot of good miles on this old truck and now it is time for some one else to enjoy it.
    Later,
    Dick:)

  2. You'll forget all about it as soon as your cruising in your next ride."Just love the on your with".

I've never liked the truck, it was too low for my taste. LOL!!

We hope to see ya guys in Dewey anyway. Hey, I'll be too busy to drive the Merc, so
you can have her for the weekend. I know of a real quiet place for you guys to stay.

I hope everything is going ok...

    Happy Trails, Mick

  13. Where'd it go?...come on, you gotta have somethin in the works.
...I got projects you mite want

  14. The truck stayed in Springfield MO. The guy that bought it saw it the first weekend I had it out and told me then that if I ever wanted to sell it ,he wanted it. I really don't have plans for a new project.
Hey Mick, it was allways too low for me too, that's why I drove the crap out of it. Hope to see you on the road.

If the one in your avatar is yours I'd think there would be no getting over her.

Glad you got it sold Dick. Something will come along and you will know it when you see it.

  18. Thought the truck was cool the first time I saw it. Hate to see you moving on without it, but we all do it. Good luck with your next find/project.

I miss evey car that I have sold.... But its always fun to get a new ride!!!!

  23. The one in my avatar is the one. It was the most fun hot rod I ever had. The stance was right on, it rode great and ran good. BUT I'm an old fart that has real problems getting down on the ground and working on them like I used to so it was time.

HAHA! I had an old poster that had a picture of a stunningly beautiful swimsuit model....the caption read,

No matter how beautiful this woman is, somewhere, someone is tired of her shit!

The wife made me get rid of it, I was sad to see her go:eek:

i think i might have that in a pix . Was she waving when she went by ya ?

  27. She did'nt go by me, she was so far ahead of me off the starting line it was pitiful. And yes she was waving to the crowd. I had a ball at the drags.

Dick, I'll miss seeing you and your truck-you made a good pair. I'm sure we'll see the truck around central Missouri. My 57 is lowered now. The new driveshaft should be back from Springfield today or tomorrow. I'm hoping to go for a ride this weekend. Hope to see you at the Mid-America Nats. Sam
