  1. I agree with everyone else the watermark is very distracting Jim

  3. Certainly no shortage of pics. You put in a great effort, thanks.
I'm with the others on the lettering through the middle. It ruins them.
Anyone wants your pics, they take em and Photoshop marks out.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics Joe, even with the branding across them. I put on my big boy pants and toughed it out as I viewed them. Some people will bitch if you hang them with a new rope. Thanks again for sharing.

I cannot believe so many people put Rocketman on their cars.

Thanks for all of the pictures, I know it takes time and is a lot of work to post them but people appreciate it. I would have to go along with many others and say I don't like the watermarks.

toughed it out as you viewed them...with big boy pants?...so the branding bugged you too, but he's probably a friend so you put up with it...commendable.

Nice Pictures! You shot the right cats. I agree with all the other pleasantries about the branding. You need to be proud of your work just move it to the bottom or top.
    Thanks

Thanks for posting your pictures. Some cool looking cars and trucks there. I especially like the Divco and the rusty homemade hot rod.

It's funny, when I first signed on to the HAMB, I was told by members of the HAMB to be VERY CAREFUL, to what you say or post to the HAMB. I of course had to ask why? The answer was a bit strange to me, but has come to be true. "No matter what you post an answer to a question, a flyer about a show, a suggestion about a show, or in my case pictures from an event." Other HAMBER'S will always nail you to the cross about how it is not right, how could you have the nerve to suggest that? It is totally wrong! As I have come to find out with the pictures of the Goodguy's event I posted. Yes there is a watermark on my pictures. Not that I have to, I will explain why I feel compelled to mark my pictures as my own. First I will preface this explanation, The watermark did come out much darker than I had intended, I will check my pictures closer if I decide to post any on the HAMB again. In my haste to post the pictures I didn't preview the final outcome. SORRY my bad! Now for the reason anyone should put a watermark or an identifying mark on anything you post on the internet. The unscrupulous of us out there will try and use someone else's photographs for their own benefit. Am I saying I think I am all THAT? No what I'm trying to convey is by watermarking my pictures
    1) Let's folks know who took them good or bad.
    2) May keep some from using it as a product of their own.
    3) May keep your pictures from showing up in an unintended forum.
I am in no way shape or fashion claiming to be, or trying to suggest I am a professional photographer. I AM NOT! After finding some pictures I had posted to other internet sites, used as backdrops and other unintended forums than just your normal Hot Rodder's enjoying them as they were intended makes one a little perturbed. So I talked to quite a few PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER'S most of whom suggested to watermark anything you post on the internet. So I do and will continue to do so, albeit not so intrusive. If by some amazingly slim chance I post a picture someone really like's and wants a copy with no watermark (I be flattered) I will most definitely send them a clean copy. The HAMB can be a very strange place, you have a few people asking for coverage of a certain event, when someone as myself posts their coverage of the event you get nailed to the cross for the way in which I chose to post the coverage. Reminds me of the lyric's from a Rick Nelson song "Garden Party"
(You can't please everyone so you have to please yourself!)
THANKS to everyone who took the time to view the coverage I did post glad you enjoyed it! Joe

And they are right to complain - a new rope can give a very bad rope burn. Of course the complaining doesn't last for very long and this is good. BTW, and not that it matters, I agree a less obtrusive or better placed overprint would be an improvement. Sincere thanks for your photos. While everyone else was moseying around enjoying the show you were hard at work documenting the sights for those who did not attend. Your work speaks for itself.

Thanks it wasn't really work, it's what I like to do, I have changed the intrusive watermark to be in my opinion not so bad! I can take constructive criticism and roll with it I am posting the rest of the coverage I have shortly hope it is more enjoyable to everyone.

A lot of nice cars. Sorry I missed going this year.
Anyone have better pictures or side views of the Phantom 58 ElCamino? Always interested in how others did these types of conversions I think I like the rear window design but it looks like it may have been made from a 4dr which might throw off the overall proportions.

The other picture I have is a front view. I don't have a good shot of the quarters. Joe

The watermark in the middle of the pic might be a necessity for high school class picture proofs, but it fucking sucks for cars show pics.

Which is worse? Watermarked pictures or no pictures? Until you have some pictures pirated you have no idea. Although you are surely entitled to your opinion. Thanks for trying to take a look. Joe

Thanks for taking the time to post all the great pics.

I've got to say , I've posted litetally thousands of pics here on the HAMB over the years , and never once felt the need for a watermark . But with that said , it beats no pics at all. Thanks again.
