We know you're not eating or sleeping Kirk! - you're out working on cars:D.

But back to the 'whine of the month' - and this one is getting beaten to death:( - look what happens when someone posts without checking ALL the facts - both for the US and outside the US. Sure the increase for overseas guys is significant - but then you may pay more for pretty much everything. I know I did when I lived outside the USA.

As for value for money - Goodguys always has been a cracking deal for all the reasons mentioned.

Now go to a race - drag, Nascar, IRL and see how much it costs. Or to a ballgame, football, hockey. Try buying tickets for a pop or rock concert - $475 a head for the cheapest at the last Rolling Stones concert I inquired about:eek:. Does anyone think that it is honestly going to get cheaper?

Some people have no clue when they are well off - guess we could start a new HAMB category - ProWhiner:confused:.

As a general rule ... I do not comment on such a whine and rant ...

I generally go to the pre 49 only events :) ... because I am a pre 49 type of guy. But, I do go to a few selected GoodGuys events every so often ( Charlotte every two or three years and Indy every 5 or 6 years ).

IF you are having FUN ... then GO
IF not ... stay home :)

NSRA and GoodGuys is a business ... get over it
Just like the tire store down the street or the CAFE on the corner ... if you are getting your money's worth ... reward them with your business support. If not ... then spend no money with them ... it is pretty simple

I think Kirk does a good job. He works for someone else and has to satisfy the boss ... to keep his job. Cut the guy some slack.

Maybe someday UNICEF will get into the car show business, until then....

If you don't like the cost of greens fees; don't golf. If you don't like the price of a lift ticket; don't ski. If you don't like the cost of the car show; don't go.

I've was considering a Goodguys membership, but that's it!...I'm starting my OWN organization now!

  12. Hey Breeder, You don't have to go to an event to sign up for a membership. You can do it on line at their website or call their office. Easy to do. I have been a member for 18 years and as far as value for the buck they are hard to beat. Their phone number is 925-838-9876 and their web site is www.good-guys.com.
They have the best mag out there, always have had and it seems to get better with each editor.
    Later,
    Dick:)

Funny at Pleasanton when he won the chance at a chance they mentioned that he was a former employee. I stated at that time "Well we know who the winner will be" and he did win... If he left them high and dry then why were they partying with him....

No, you can simply order the Gazette online, it comes with a year's membership.

No...anyone can join...well, let me rephrase that: anyone that is interested in the best coverage of cars...not only "showcars", but daily driven cars and "trad" cars...and everything in between.

Why is what set up that way? You can join GG's and get the mag...IF you are a member when the Des Moines show comes around, you'll get a discount on your entry fee. GG's does not cater to ONLY show cars...true, there are "PRO-builders that dedut their cars at GG's events, but you can certtainly debut YOUR car there as well.

Yeah... shut your cake hole and keep your money in your pocket if you don't like it...

There is nothing immoral, unprofessional or illegal about raising prices. It happens for business reasons. If you don't like it, just hold your money. It's that simple.

Coming here for the sole reason of bitching is ridiculous.
