Will I see any of you fine OSR folk at the Good Guys show in Puyallup? It is on July 15-17...

I well be there, the edsel wont be running yet but hopefully the 46 chevy sedan delivery can for saturday (satin black w/welds-smoothies trashed the front bearings, too wide).
By the way where in vanc is your shop ? you guys have some awesome cars and I dont recall seeing your shop in town.

I haven't been in like 6-7 yrs (I was sooo disappointed last time I was there), but I think I might give it a go again. Seems to be more likely to see interesting stuff now than all those yrs ago.

 

You are more than welcome to hang out with us, we tend to just maintain a nice buzz all day long.....

I will have to work on either Sat or Sun, and will be there for the Thurs pm BBQ, drags Friday night, etc. PM me if you like.

You gave me an award last year for my 49 Fordillac, if I keep you intoxicated all weekend any chance I can be a repeat winner?!?!

We are up in Salmon Creek. We are more out in the country, not so much downtown Vancouver, kind of one of those shops you have to hear about to find. If you are ever interested in checking it out, let me know and I will give you directions!

This is Marty, I will be at the show on Sat. but not the races. I don't know if Sam is coming with having a new baby and all.

 

Ive got a step daughter in puyallup and I tried hard to get there from michigan for the show. It aint gonna work. Hopefully next year the wife and I can make it. She will be there the first of August but im staying cause I find no fun hanging out with 4 women for a week even though the youngest 2 1/2 would be the one to hang with

Who can tell me more about the Fri. drags? The Goodguys website doesn't really have any info, and neither does the Pacific Raceways site. I'm interested in when, where (I ***ume Pacific Raceways, just want to confirm), how much.

 

Rite Pacific Raceway, think gates open at 8 or 10 A M. About $50+ to race. Pretty easy tech, lots of fun!!..........OLDBEET

Cool, thanks. How late do they race? I would take the day off, but I already know I have a meeting at work with out of town suppliers I need to meet with, so maybe I can sneak out early and head down.

I wouldn't miss the drags, should have my coupe on the road this weekend. Gunna burn some rubber on Monday if all goes as planned.

 

Ok, I just called Pacific Raceways and here is what they told me. Gates open at 2pm. She did not know when they closed, but said that their curfew is 11pm, so it probably goes until then. I also checked the Goodguys website and they had conflicting info (said the drags were from 10am-5pm), but also showed that the website would be updated. I think the Goodguys info. is out of date, plus it would be weird to have the drags stop at 5pm on a "work day."
Cost: $35 to race
$15 to watch

If they do indeed start at 2pm, I might be able to make it at the start!

Its an old 1965 Mercury Marauder motor with power steering - brakes and
cast iron exhaust manifolds. And I dont have to tell Ya the torque these old FE"s got. Should run pretty good. FEDER

I will be there I am on leave for the weekend of the show. I am planning on making it to the drags since they are right around the corner from my place. I will be at the fair grounds for Sat and Sun. Any idea where anyone is planning on parking?
