The goodguy's show starts on the 12th at the Texas Motor Speedway. I know Joe/Okiedokie is taking his Sunliner down, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. For me, it'll be my kickoff point for my '57s road trip to Florida. Can hardly wait.
    So who here is going??
BTW, my wife told me yesterday that Texas is going back to "100% normal" with no restrictions. Not sure I approve of that, but there's certainly nothing stopping us as individuals from being cautious, and it will mean lots of car shows, so here's to 2021 being a better year!!

I purchased a pair of adaptors to use a Sanden 508 compressor with the factory serpentine drive system that I am using on the 302 in my Sunliner. After two Ford compressors that leaked it seemed the thing to do. I bought the stuff from Cl***ic Auto Air out of Florida. I also bought a compressor at the same time. After installation I found that the factory belt was too long. I discovered that they sold a belt for the conversion and bought one. They sent a $12.00 belt and only charged me $67.00 plus shipping. I was stupid to buy it instead of trying to measure and guess the correct length but had other stuff going on so this seemed the best route to get ready for Ft Worth. Well the belt came apart immediately. Now that I had the correct belt number I could go to the parts house and buy a quality belt, which I did. Now I have a “clacking noise”. I have checked all the pulleys and find no reason for the noise. So I hope to borrow a compressor tomorrow or Friday and see if that is the noise culprit. So the point of this is you may not see the Sunliner Rich.

My first one since moving to TX kind if forgot it was this early in the year. I guess I'm just used to good guys being over the 4th of July. Not sure if we'll make it or not but I probably should considering it's only a couple miles from my house. Back in des moines they would always do a hamb meet n greet at 1 on Saturday. There anything like that here?

There should be, and may be, but I've never seen or heard of one. The weather is not looking too promising for Fri and Sat. I've got my fingers crossed on that. Goodguys does 2 shows a year at the speedway, also keep an eye open for the huge Pate swap meet there..about April??

Yesterday was our first Saturday of the month cruise-in, and it was the biggest I have seen it in 5+ years. I talked to lots of guys that are headed for Fort Worth next weekend, including one new acquaintance who told me he was leaving Thursday morning from Amarillo with 8 other guys. They hadn't set a meeting place yet, so I asked him to call me when they decided on that. Hopefully he will, that would be awesome doing the 350 mile trip down with 9 other street rods!!
I also found out there is a 130 mile poker run out of Canyon (12 miles south of my house) this morning. I think I'm going to p*** on it, got too much on my palette this week.

Also, for you Oklahoma guys, I got a flyer for the Duncan swap meet.....March 25-27.

It was great to meet ou also, Red. I only did the show Friday, decided not to stay for Saturday because the weather forecast was very iffy.
I got back from my road trip last night. 3820 miles with only 2 minor issues, more on that later.
