Believe it or not this was a running driving 389 4 speed 57 Safari wagon when it came in in the 70’s to be junked

Even when we had similar year vehicles in yards, the yards were (still are) bare from growth for the most part.
I’ve never been in a place like that
    Thanks for sharing!

Went to a lot of work converting it into a '57.

'63 Imperial looks like it's got some good bits to give yet. Seats out of that boxy 'Bird might be worth grabbing too if they're not too ate up. There's a few yards like that around here in Wisconsin but we lost quite a few last year and the high current scrap prices aren't helping.

Did you find anything to buy, and if so, what are prices like?

I'd love to have the Greenbrier van. But I am odd like that.

I bought that greenbriar van at the Mpls police impound auction in the mid eighties for 40 bucks. After I got it home and found the engine was seized I junked it. It has been there at Goose lake ever since....

I would still jump on that. They were the ultimate parts getter from part yards and swap meets. Don't see them everyday. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to find a rampside either.

Looks like dem bones been picked over pretty good. Probably some small stuff there if you looked hard. Wish we still had some places like that around here.

  18. I’m also digging that Greenbrier! I’d like to have the 1966 F-100 as well!

A bad day of walking in the rain and cold through a salvage yard still beats a good day at work
