Very glad that you're running down the track! Nothing wrong with the normal headers. Many cars ran 'em. Spark plug changes may ****, if I recall my 327 days clearly.

Someone at the track last night asked me what N - / - (slash) SA stood for. Not a lot of folks know what a 57 junior stocker is.

    Junior Stock

Not another g***er and that's a good thing. We need more Junior Stock styled cars.
And yes not all had fender wells not sure what the advantage was maybe for a longer primary?

Just curious; is this car a re-badged/trim added, Model 150? I see no beltline trim, and the spear-end corner windshield trim makes me wonder. Does the VIN have an "A" in the beginning? Or a "B" or "C"? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Your car looks good. I've wanted a 57 ever since they were new but you have to be careful what you wish for,. I got one 30 years ago and it was free but it has too many doors. One good thing about mine is that it doesnt ever break down and I drove it 25 miles to get it home the day I got it. 57chev.jpg

I bought the car as you see it. It has a "B" in the VIN. I thought it was a 210 with the Belair trim added to cover up some bad quarter panel repairs. Getting the quarters fixed this fall.

Almost anything can and did happen to these old Tri-Five Chevrolet cars over the many years and owners. Every owner does something different, some good, some bad. "B" is 210, but it's missing the beltline trim, and what I already said about the windshield corner trim (???). It also has the base model and six cylinder "Chevrolet" script on the hood; what's on the trunk? I have a friend that deals in 55-57 Chevrolet CARS and PARTS; if you need anything, holler. That Aztec Bronze and White 210 4 door wagon above looks just like the one my older sister and I learned to drive in. After we got licensed, I'd clean and polish the car up, put gas in it, and then my sister and her friends would disappear with it. It'd come back dirty and full of trash. So, I bought my "first" 56 Chevrolet, a 210 with the Del Ray option; I'm on number `TEN now. And my last. My sister totaled the wagon when a Datsun pulled out in front of her; put the other driver in the hospital (her fault 100%). My Father parted it out, and I managed to snag the rear springs from it as mine had broken leafs; he even charged me for them! Long live the Tri-Five Chevrolet cars.

  9. If there is any hobby car that might be a investment it would be a tri five chevy. they seem to hold their value. They are always a popular desired vehicle. Ive owned six 1957 chevy 4 doors over the years and made a profit on every one of them.

  10. The first tri five I ever drove looked exactly like the one pictured. My neighbor Jim owned it in 1964. 283 and powerglide. It developed a transmission leak so he traded it for a 59 four door sedan 235 powerglide. He regretted that deal for the remainder of his days. He often commented if we had just converted the 57 to a stick shift I would still be driving it.

That wagon would make a nice Jr Stocker as well. Good luck with it.

I put the silver "V" on the trunk. Got a good one used. Looking now for the silver "V" for the hood. New ones in the $100.00 range, sometimes can find a good used one.
