its a '55 buick special 4 door hardtop. i got it from a friend for 300 bucks my plans are to shave a few things, do some custom work to it. it'll be a mild custom, and it's something to practice rot repair and custom work on. my dad, looking not too enthused about my new ride haha all loaded up and ready to go peep peep heres where it'll sit for a few weeks till i can get to it. the best part of the whole deal!!!!
Good find! I have a line on a 4 door as well, and looking at yours, if it's worth it, I'll snap it up.
thanks, what attracted me to this car is the running nailhead, and the 4door hardtop body. i love 4 door hardtops. my grandfather tells me all the time about his 57 chevy 4 dr hardtop he had in the early 60's. he just saw the car today and that reminded him of his 57 haha
haha i couldnt believe the price when he told me it was for sale either. i just couldnt say no. but it needs a ***le, new side gl***, and most likely some electrical work before it can be put on the road. so i'll focus on getting it ***led, registered, and driveable before doing any modifications.
Running? damn, thats nice for 300 Hah, no matter how you look at it, if it needs a ***le, electrical. Its still a SWEET deal. You scored BIG
$300? You got a great deal! It can be a real nice early 60's mild custom! Nothing wrong with it being a 4-door...some thin whitewalls, cl***ic hubcaps or chrome wheels, some metalflake paint and/or satin finish, maybe some pinstriping and your cruising...
i'd like to put some thicker whitewalls on it, with 56 olds hubcaps. when i repaint the car, i'd like to flake the roof, and maybe flake the red on the bottom of the doors too, i'm not sure.
I see you got it home, great score! You must have caught Will at a weak moment, cause he's usually not that generous.
that is a great car. There was one for sale in South Carolina that looked worse than that and they wanted $2,000 for it. You got a good score.
well my dad knows him from high school, so we got the friend discount haha. plus he needed it out of there for the speed shop party he's having next weekend.
You seriously got a deal for 300 bucks. I paid that for my old 55 f100 back in 92, never thought i would see someone get a complete car for that these days!
