Sold the ranchero to plan9 awhile ago,
    Picked up a 69 Triumph-
Gonna go w/an old-school "bob" look with it,
But I'd be glad to hear some idea's on what to do with it...?

My suggestion, hardtail the rear with a bolt-on with a little extension. Lose that girder front end and put a regular (maybe even shorter than stock) fork set-up. Make it low to the ground. That extended fork with stock neck rake does not look good to me. It would work if you kick the front out a bit, but for a bobber style, you need to go back to tubular forks with stock neck angle. Solo seat and a bobbed rear fender. Different pipes than those on it now.

i agree with the hardtail...but maybe you could cut down that frontend to make it more bobber.nice start.

Keep the girder just take a foot off of it. Rigid is the way to go.

Definitely lose that front end....! Go hardtail with a sprung seat. Just like 38 said. I would however disagree that you need tubular forks for bobber style - if you had an old HD, Indian, or Brit stock lenght springer, that could get you the look you are after.

We used 2" UNDER fork tubes on stock trump front ends on our two latest bikes - the Dirty Sanchez and the Handsome Devil. Worked out real well.

If you need any help or parts, let me know.

  10. Sell the girder to burndup in the HAMB Classifieds

  11. Great starting point grease! yeah you definitely wanna chop that front end to get rid of the "grasshopper" look...you should talk to truth on here..he builds some real nice triumphs

That's my buddy Wes his bike! He's runnin' the same seat as I am... he got a lot of stuff that I'm building my bike with.
That bike which Daign posted rocks! Damn, I've gotta get me one of those Triumph tanks too!

Greaseball... I'd go with a hardtail too. A seat with some small springs, Triumph tank, drag pipes, normal short forks, or maybe a short springer? Rask Cycle has beautiful springer forks for Trumps, but those are muchos dineros!!!

Yea, I've actaully already ordered a 4 inch over hard-tail-
    (guess I shoulda mentioned that!)

I'm making a solo seat outta fiberglass,
And I've got some white T n R to cover it...

I'm having a helluva time figuring out what front wheel to go with tho-

Here's another shot of the bike-----
(I don't think I'm burly enough to run that "swazie" points cover!)
