had a car adventure day, drove 80 miles out to the middle of nowhere desert to pickup this 51 plymouth, it runs good all stock except for y'd straight pipes, needs the usual, brakes gone through, shocks, maybe a little tune up but not much.
the sheet metal is real good went over the whole damn thing with a magnet before i bought it only a little 3inch spot on each rocker with any bondo other than that super solid even the wheel wells dont have rust through. drove it home and lost a hubcap on the freeway oh well aint gonna use the stock ones anyways.
it will be a future custom but not for a long while (till i can afford to do stuff to it) just gonna redo all the brakes a safety stuff and make it a decent driver for now

  5. I'm thinking WWW, drop it a few inches and pry the beer bottle off the roof and start cruising in style!

  6. Nice Belvedere. Next to the convertible they are hard to come by. Good luck with it.

craigslist, its a little rougher than it looks in the pics but is still in really good shape (mostly little stuff wrong with it) its been on and off cl for a while but the guy was asking way too much before he lowered the price like 3 times then i offerd him even lower than that and he took it, the woodgrain paint will get painted over eventually all the garnish inside is wood grained

Nice 1951 Belvedere 2dr hardtop. First year of the 2dr hardtop for Plymouth and first year of the Belvedere line. Pretty rare, i have one with 40K org miles that i am the 3rd owner of, dad being the 2nd, it not nearly that nice since dad tore apart in the 80's.

To each their own and it's your car but IMO that woodgrain is pretty cool.

that is one sweet find; hard top belvedere, can't say i've seen one person.

if it were mine, i'd re-paint in the factory colors, skinny whites, kaiser caps on black wheels, drop it, split exhaust on that sweet 6 and just cruise the hell out of it.

    that thing is rad...
