got another car this weekend

my buddy and i got this kool 48 ford coupe this saturday. The fellow lost interest after 12 years in his garage.Its chopped ,volary clip,all new gl***,guages .motor is 84 buick grand national v6 turbo.
it just needs to be bolted back together and painted.

going to put it all toghether ,then see what we got. Not crazy about that motor.May put a sbc in it later. It will be for sale when finished eather way i go .-ray

 

This is quite a departure from the old 49-51 Merc projects. I'm with you regarding the Turbo motor. This porky ford seems like a heavy car for the little 3.8 to be hauling around. Besides, the Buick G.N. guys will pay yards of cubic money for a good engine....enough to pay for a nice SBC....
Good lookin club coupe...not my first choice but my present car isn't either....
