bought this bike at a garage sale for 150bucks... title says its a yamaha but it had a triumph motor on it..... anyone know where i can find a motor at? cheap...
he said the motor wasnt any good so he threw it in the trash... guy didnt seem real smart to me.... ah well... im happy... i need a motor though.... and i have never even rode a bike in my life...
Nice! As Atch started to say, springer forks alone typically go for about $300 on up on eBay. A little hard to tell, but that frame looks similar to the one under my Honda.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHG! go pick thru his trash! at the very least it'll sit there and look cool! SOME part of it has to be good to somebody, and a landfill aint the place for it... My own tale of dumpster diving last weekend, spotted a leather couch on the top layer of a huge dumpster, a bit too grizly for Casa de Burndup, but returned with my scissors and got enough good material for a few chopperseats or maybe even a shotbag...

Chuck DeVuono, a Honda chopper guy, sent me a scan of an old catalog showing the frame. Now I can't find that picture. I forget the brand now, and can't remember if it is a Jammer or something else. I'll contact Chuck and get the info again. The bike was formerly owned by Kutty Noteboom of the Choppers, CA.
FOUND IT. My frame is a Jammer Check out this page to help identify that chopper frame: CHOPPER FRAME ID PAGE
I've got an extra Kaw 550 sitting in my garage. If you're not interested in it, I'll just have to use it for my go kart... r
I went back to the dudes house lastnight and asked about the old motor again and he said he threw it away a couple years back... but he did give me a shit load of yamaha 650 parts that i have no friggin clue what they are.... i just want some kind of small engine to get the thing mobile... since i have never rode a bike before i think i need to start out small and slow...

[/ QUOTE ] I understand your train of thought here, but you are wrong. It is no more difficult to ride a bike with more power. I'm not saying you need the biggest engine that will fit, but build the bike the right way and have a specific game plan. My 750 engine is, in my opinion, way too much engine for such a bike. I typically just cruise around, but I know the power is there if I need it. Some guy just asked me, "How fast does it go?" I told him, "It doesn't have a speedometer, so I'm not sure. Why, how fast do you want to go?" He didn't have an answer. Typical dumb question people ask. Don't be afraid of the bike. That will cause instant problems.
some dude here in town offered me 600 for it this afternoon... i still decided to keep it.... already painted the tank the way i want...lol
I have built many chops and bobbers from 650 Yam's.They are cool, fun and more dependable than the Norton Atlas which it was copied from. I still have a few buildable motors if you are interested. I hope you don't mind kick starting a bike because Yam copied the electric start to the number. It don't work any better than their's did. Advance the cam timing 4 degrees ,jet it a little bigger, open filters, install dragpipes and haul ass Jerry 58villager p.s. Tuned right they shake ,rattle and thump just as good as a real tea bag
