Hey everyone. I finally got my first project truck and I couldn't be happier. 1961 Apache10. Got a long road ahead of us but first step is to get it running. Anyone familiar with these inline 6s? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hi. & welcome. My avatar photo shows my 1957 Chevy inline 235 engine. Bored 0.060 with a 268 grind cam & solid lifters, dual 2 barrel Weber Carb's on a water heated intake, dual shorty headers & a ring & pinion change from a 411 to a 355 so it will scoot down the Hwy with the traffic at todays speeds without a screaming engine. Which engine do you have. My brain out of gear right now & maybe it is a 270?? As the truck sits you have many possible routes to go with how you do it. Post photos as you build on the hokey**** message board. See what I think about the Inline's in my signature comment below. Jimmie
Thanks for your reply. I ran the casting numbers on the block and what I came up with is a 230 or a 250 from 1964-1976. Your motor looks nice man. I'm hoping to one day throw a turbo on it. But I have a lot in mind but as of right now I just want to get it back on the road. Just found me a bellhousing so now all I need is a starter and a windshield. And of course all the rubber seals for the glass. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
