I have been working in sedona on a project and decided today to take a break and go for a drive. I ended up in Jerome, AZ and did not want to do the tourist sight seeing stuff so I headed down the road a little more and went to the gold king mine ghost town. The place has an antique saw mill that still operates and cuts logs. Its a real cool throw back in time. The guy, don, that owns the place has been there for more than 30 years. The local Vw bus club goes there for the Jerome jamboree its a bunch of fun.

Below are some pictures I thought you would enjoy. If you need identification of any of the photos just ask I will try my best.

    Enjoy.

Pics to follow. I need to upload them first.

  4. I'm jelous. I love Sedona!
Jerome is pretty cool too, although I have never been to the saw mill.
Cool pics, but what about the rim?

I have not spent much time looking at the site but here is a link to this great place. Don is a character and a nice gentleman. If you are ever in AZ, this is a must see place.

I forgot to get a picture of the rim brfore it got dark. Just a 20" split rim. I will post a picture tomorrow of it. I hauled it up the hill and man those things get heavy. After I loaded it up in my truck I went back to thank him for selling it to me and for the best hand picked souvenir.
