Well, it's not really new, but it's new to me.

And it chops gr***. 88" cut baby!

It does have a flathead though! A 2 cylinder air cooled Wisconsin 1325 (25 hp). 3 speed forward, and 1 reverse.

This a Heckendorn lawnmower, made in Peabody Kansas. This one is from the mid 1980's, but they all look the same from the late 50's early 60's. They still make 'em brandy new too.

I used to run one when I was in college. They are a hoot to mow with. Zero turning radius. They sound awesome.

One thing is, they are a good example of form following function.

now I will spend 1/4 of the time mowing my yard, thus freeing up more time to work on my Model A coupe!

One of those continental kit spare tires for lowrider bicycles would be nice. And a chain steering wheel.

Nah. I think I'll draw the line on the chrome chain steering wheel. Gotta stick with the bars. Maybe I can get Jesse James to make me a custom gas tank though.

Anyone know of companies that have engine kits for these Wisconsins? Besides what you find with a google search?

I am going to try and she if she'll fire up today after work.

Looks good buddy. I think you're a little nuts with these things, but you do have some property to mow now. I should have grabbed the one that was left in our site at the Greatwoods swap last year. It was just too heavy for my lazy ****.
