I bought this1940 Olds 90 Custom Cruiser Club Coupe (long name) a few days ago and it looks brand new. The previous owner has renovated it for 16 years and he did a real nice job for sure. Flathead 8 with 3 on the tree. No need to say I'm a happy man right now. The car is all stock with 6 volt and the only change from factory is a better gear ratio, 3.60 compared to the stock 4.30. What do you think?
I like it a lot,my pal Mike has had one for more than 40 years, and when you stop at a rest area and want to have a picnic you already have a table with those huge front fenders. HRP
Wow, that's a beautiful car just as it is. I would leave it as is. But you could go any direction with it and have a great car. Congrats on your find and have fun with it !
Congrats - ya did good - so, will be waiting for you to chop it, put in a blown big block Olds, etc _Ha!
Hey, that is one nice lookin' car!!! I love straight eights, and that body looks pristine! That is one heck of a nice car man....enjoy!
Awesome! When I saw it was your post Orn, I knew it would be a beauty! My vote is Bomba! Bomba! Bomba! E
A buddy of mine just bought the same car to flip!......his is a little streetroddy but it has a great old maroon finish.....I told him I'd change the wheels add whitewalls and full caps. Loose the billet steering wheel and window cranks and have a great looking mild custom.....now your post has me wanting it even more.....I hope someone else buys it - I don't have the time or cash to commit to another car right now...
You are absolutely right, this will be a nice Bomb with skirts and some lowering. I did this Photoshop just to see how it looks. These Olds are easy to lower with its coilspring in rear, trailingarms and open drive shaft.
