Took the car down to the interior shop yesterday and got my snap top put on the A. It was damn cold out around 25* but it was worth it. The top turned out great. Here are some pics.

I would like to see what it looks like with the top off.

Looks really good on, nice touch with the blacked out snaps.

  5. That looks great! Which shop did you use?

  6. That looks real good young man. You are going to screw around and end up with a real nice rod if you're not careful.

  10. Cool. I had them put a headliner in my wife's jag a couple of months ago, and I've been thinking about letting them do my truck seat. Good stuff!

Looks great! Thinking about having one s***ched up locally for my roadster.

Also, diggin' those dirt tires, are they the Firestone "ribbed" fronts and "grooved" rears with the lettering painted in? They look awesome!

    Thanks!

Yes they are the Firestone's. I took a white tire paint pen and colored the firestone in. I am thinking of doing the same to the front.

Around here no one will give me a price on what it cost to do a cover like that. Most wont do it or just want me to leave them the car and get a bill later. What would I be expecting to pay for a cover like that??????? Thanks

I paid $200 installed. But another guy wanted $500. You just need to ask around. Goodluck!

25 degrees? I had a tonneau cover on a truck similar to your top, it wouldn't fit for **** when it was cold out, if you took it off in the cold you couldn't get it back on. Hopefully they warmed the car up in a building before fitting/installing that one, would **** if it was loose fitting when it's warm. Looks nice, though.

Man, great top treatment on a great car! Very tastey. My two cents is to paint the letters on the front tires, too, for what that's worth.
Congrats on building such a clean car.

That is one of the first Model A sedans I have seen in a long time that is chopped/channeled but has GREAT perportions. Plus, it is painted a good color, has a good engine, tires/wheels look awesome, headlight placement, ect. It's just a *****in car man, good job!!

    Looks great!

I did a similiar top on my sedan and thought I could sew the vinyl myself, after wrecking my wifes sewing machine and pleading the 5th I opted to hire a seamstress to do it. She charged me 50 bucks to do it, I installed the snaps myself. The vinyl and s***ching and snaps came out to around 80 bucks add a case of beer to the final number and it was a great afternoon. Love cruisin with it off too!
