We have had some pretty unusually warm temperatures here in Colorado up until Friday night/Saturday morning, when the temp dropped like a rock.

I knew the cold weather was coming, so I have been working on the car like a mad man before it hit, as my garage is not heated (yet).

As some of you remember, I had the car running a little over a month ago, but the transmission that I picked up was junk. So I bit the bullet and ended up getting a completely rebuilt trans.

I put the new trans in last Monday night.

I left work at noon on Thursday and worked till 11 getting the rest of it put back together (the shifter, hooking up the hydraulic clutch, etc.)

I was off on Friday and worked for another 5 hours trying to get the slave cylinder to bleed, fixing the steering column, added a new steering wheel, and redoing some dash wiring.

Finally as it was getting dark on Friday, I pulled it out of the garage and drove it around the neighborhood a bit. I was a short trip, and except for a small coolant leak, everything seemed to work great and the trans and clutch setup worked great too.

Anyway, I got done just in time. It snowed most of the day Saturday, and the high temp was something like 25. As I write this, 7:30 Sunday evening, its 16 degrees.

So, now its on to the floors and rocker panels. But I will wait till it gets warmer for that!

    Here are a few pics.

They are Autometer. I think they call it their Street Rod series. I liked them because they were the closest I could find to the originals (black background w/white numbers).

The speedo is on the left; on the right I have the gas gauge and voltmeter. I mounted them on a 1/8 thick black plastic sheet, and mounted it behind the dash. That way I could still use the original chrome bezels and glass.

The oil pressure and water temp are mounted under the dash, in front of the shifter.
