Well, I finally decided to go ahead and pull the 223 out today so I can start rewiring the car with the rebel kit. It went pretty quick only took about an hour and a half from start to finish to get the engine and ****** out. Buy the car looks like a g***er now with that heavy 6cyl out of it :D I cant wait to get my 289 in it so I can drive it again, Ive been going through DT's seeing it set there. Is there anything else I should be looking to do while I have the engine out? I know I will do the 6vt to 12 change and the rebel wiring harness. I did notice it has been changed to Negative Ground by the PO but is still set up as 6vt. Do I need to get a new Solenoid for the Fender well that the Positive post goes to or will the one it has work? Thanks

Yes you will have to change to a 12 volt solenoid try Autozone they have a std and a heavy duty, the heavy duty is only $15,if they ask you what car you have tell them a 1967 Mustang with a 289.

Need to step down the gauges unless you are replacing the stock ones. and if you have a clock, step it down to 6V...

how about clean as much grunge and crud out now that you can get to it, and maybe spray bomb some of the smaller pieces just to clean it up more.

sircampsalot2 now that you've learned to post pictures, if you click on the the thumbnail and open it up to full size before you copy it, it will transfer as full size.

I go to the picture and copy then come to the post and right click to paste and theres nothing there...it wont let you paste.. like it lost the thing you copied. So i tried just putting the URL in there and all it does is show the URL so I added the [IMG]

If you want me to try and walk you through it, give me a call. I sent you a pm a while back with my cell #. If you do call, just remember, I'm in CA.
