Well for one thing they made some pretty nice rocker arms for first generation Olds V 8's

Look for the Gotha valve covers that hid those Olds rockers.

I already did a search and found the valve covers but not much more.

  5. Several threads about Gotha. Bob Bleed had a bunch of their goodies.

I got 127 hits on the word Gotha

I've seen it here and there, even saw weld on gotha branded pads to convert your stock single carb flathead intake to multiple carburation. A search should pull up more info

Not a lot of info out there on Gotha, but I hear that with a few select pieces it gets you into "the club".

I went back and did another search and read a bunch of the threads. Looks like they made 6x2 manifolds for Olds rockets and Buick nailheads as well as some valve covers and rocker arms for Olds,Caddys, and hemis. they also made some cheap *** looking adapters for flathead manifolds for those who just had to have a 3x2 setup!

Interesting thread. I happen to have a set of 1.8:1 Gotha rockers for early Olds. One's broke. If anyone happens to have one they could part with, pm me.

I believe crane cams aquired Gotha sometime in the 60s. But many of the old patterns were not included in the deal due to money owed to the foundry(s) who where not about to hand them over till they received back payment.
anyone know the name of the original owner of Gotha?

Gotha made steel flywheels too, here’s mine for Chevy, I bought it in the ‘70’s, haven’t used it.
It’s drilled for both Borg & Beck and Long pressure plates.

If @deucemac sees this his uncle was a machinist for Gotha, maybe he has some knowledge of other parts.

I'd love to have that degree wheel, dual purpose !! Actual usable tool AND a memorable wall hanger/decoration.

My late cousin, Pat McHenry was the machinist for the entire time the company existed. There were two different owners during the time the company existed and Pat worked for both. Pat p***ed away several years ago and I wasn't smart enough to do***ent our conversations. He raced AMA flat track during the time and had permission to go on the road, provided there was always a good amount of product on hand. Otherwise, he would have to stop racing, come home and built up stock. Pat managed to always have enough products on the shelf, that he never had to take a break from racing and come home to restock products. He lived in Harvey Illinois, where Gotha also was. Besides being a great machinist and tool and die maker, he managed to be the motorcycle champ at Santa Fe speedway in 1958 and in 1959. He was much older than I but we became fast friends in his later years when he worked for Panduit as a tool and die maker. Great guy and superb motorcycle racer. I didn't realize how good until a chance meeting with a fellow that raced against Pat, asked me if I was related to Pat. Boy, how the stories flowed once he knew that Pat and I were cousins.
