Gotta cool gift today, but I'm gonna need some help to share it!

hell i'ld done broke out my old single slide kodak veiwer....it'ld take a few days to get done with that before i would have had time to post about em here

 

Any decent home scanner with a slide attachment will give you the quality needed for the web. (You don't need a real high resolution scan)
I suggest you scan them and number the scanned image and the slide for reference. You can then go back if need be and have a Pro shop do a high res scan of selected images for regular prints, posters or even billboards. A lot more cost effective that way.
I would offer to do it for you but I'm too far away and too unknown. One of your buds down there should have a decent scanner if you don't/can't spring for one right now. (about $100)

It's very satisfying to share these things and you can make it a journey instead of a task

I have a projector as well I just went in my closet and dug it out also a car o sell from Kodak. Let me know when you will have this get together. Miles has a cool shop to have it at for sure.

So, this morning at So-Cal, miles walks up and says "come out to the truck with me..." He brought one of his projectors that also has a small viewing screen built into the front! It's a muggy, hot nasty day 'round these parts today, so as soon as I finish punching this sandrail hood, I know what I'm up to! I'll get with Miles and nail down a date when we can get together at his shop/playhouse and check these all out together. Thanks Miles!

You Betcha! They are absolutely beautiful with the super rich saturated colors that were so common back then. Plus, though Ronnie isn't a professional photographer, he really has an eye for framing a shot.

Can't wait to see the rest of them and more clearly on a screen, and as a "visual history" type, I also feel for every body that has to wait for the scans. They are way better than seeing faded photos or scanned images from old magazines.
