Dam..some very Doo-able sheet metal there.. one thing i can say about michigan finds like that.. 1. very rare 2 probably most of those (if from michigan) the lower parts are rusted out.. but some of those cabs, hoods trunk lids, and some of those doors too..(maybe the lower 4 inches or more might need attention...Dam look at that Grille on the 53 Chevy..it still shines.. man Im getting all weak for..and its only like 3 hours away ..OH forget it,,I got enough dam shit to build...would you knock it off!
I used to have property about a couple hours from there and would of liked to have known about this place before it got sold.
Pretty obviously a '53 Chevy - is it a convertible? Worth an easy $1500-$2500 complete. More if it's not broken in half.
Here's a few '42 Fords I found. There's a '42 tudor in north Ga. somewhere. It's dark blue and all original other than wheels and paint. http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/910231.html Later, Kevin
HOLY SHIT Can you imagine back in the day , Being their when Charlie OR Bob or who ever pulled in another one and the guy at the counter said, Aha JUST put it out back with the other junk ! I said it again HOLY SHIT ! ! ! ! !
Smoke I went back and I cant find it either. I just have to stop looking at this. Im depressed cause I cant go up there and take something home..
I saw some parts I would like for my 48 Chevy. Where in MI is this place? I have been to many yards, being born and raised in MI, but not this one. It does look like the typical MI Forest. But it looks more like a lower pen. forest than upper. I could be way off.
This is TOO much! what a great find! so many guys obviously know exactly where this is located, stating "its just hours/minutes from me", and others have emailed him. Share the info! Where exactly is it located? whats the contact info? craigslist posting link? Thanks
Man Kevin This is one of the coolest cars I have ever seen!!! that one on oldride is way bitchen too.
If anyone wants old stoves a old local junkyard also tears down houses (have for many years) and I found some old stoves and a few old fuel oil or coal furnaces that were usually in the living rooms of small houses. My family had property about 2 hours north of Grand Rapids and there was only one large stash of cars that I was able see from the road (probably alot more) and was finally able to get into it but had nothing that old and the only reason I got in there was that they put the property up for sale, most of the old cars in that area disappeared back in 75 along with the radiators in the few that stayed probably due to high scrap prices and all the radiators were gone in that stash except for the one 54 chevy that the hood would not open.
Man Oh Man, I would love to go there on vacation, and just camp out there, for a couple of weeks, and take in nature, and the scenery!!!
