I have welded different tailights into my Buick. I grafted in a set of 55 Plymouth tailight surrounds into it, I figured out where I wanted them and tacked in the bezels, I then added sheetmetal between the body and the tailight surround. Pretty much a generic expanation. I think that I have some pics if you would like to see some.

    Hey,

You may wanna cut out some thin cardboard in the shape of
that '59 quarter and 200 mile-an- hour tape it to your Chevy
to check the look out. Sometimes, when restyling a kustom,
we come up with ideas that sound "interesting" but don't look
like what we envisioned to begin with. I'm not saying your idea
isn't cool, jus'sayin that sometimes after cuttin and welding in a
part that the look doesn't always flow. That's why cars were
designed in clay first, than metal.

Ratstu of "Canada Customs & Hot Rods" did some Packard tail lights for me, they look killer. I will see if I have more pics for you?
