Anyone here actually using one of these? pics? I have access to one and I'm wondering about practicality/reliability. I'm thinking about going this route with a 346 Caddy which may be too much for this blower, any technical info would be appreciated
Do you have just a blower or a whole motor? I have a 37 Graham "Supercharger" . Yep"Supercharger " is the model of the car , with a big chrome sign emblazened along the side of the hood. Unfortunately mine does not have the motor and gearbox, so I guess I will load it with another blown motor of some sort so I can keep the name on the outside honest. The blower added about 21 horsepower to the 199 cube motor in 1937 , 85 horses to 106 , and 26 horsepower to the 217 cube motor 90 hp up to 116. I don't think the blower would be big enough for your Caddy, they only put a few pounds positive in the 217 cube Continental motor used in the Grahams. http://www.carnut.com/specs/gen/_grah30.html http://www.graham-paige.com/ Maple Leaf Region GOCI - Graham Owners Club International Canada (905) 885-5066 E-mail partsman@eagle.ca
i've seen pics of them on ford flathead 8's and i saw 1 at a swap meet but thats all the imput i have
They are identical (maybe a bit smaller) to the switzer ***mings blowers on the mid-30s Auburns. .They are really setup for straight motors. Puttting it on a Caddy engine would be a bit of an engineering feat and I agree that it would not be big enough as the displacements are 70% more than what they were designed for. Here is one that I just got outbid on: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEDW:IT&viewitem=&item=280093264023&rd=1
