Join us for a Re-Grand Opening Party and Benefit for Teddy Ballgame (a hotrodding brother from Denver that had a bad spill on his scoot last month). The party will be held at the NEW location of Flyrite Choppers of Austin, the local Flyrite Dealership. We have moved the dealership to a much larger location and would like everyone to come by and celebrate with us while helping Teddy with his overwhelming medical expenses. And as with any FRCOA party this is a family event so feel free to bring out the kid's. The benefit/party will be held Sunday September 2nd from 2pm to 7pm. There will be Bar B Que plates for sale (benefiting Teddy's medical bill fund), a benefit auction, pin striping, live music, tattoo contests and of course plenty of hotrods and bikes! The address is 3705 N I-H 35, located in the heart of downtown Austin. For directions or further details please contact us at 1-866-906-RITE or by email at flyritechoppersofaustin.com. SEE YOU ALL THERE!
Yep. The doctors were expecting him to be in rehab for at least 3 months. The guy in the next room had a similar head injury and had been in rehab for 5 weeks and could barely walk with a walker and help.Teddy was walking after 1 week which was amazing.Surprised the hell out of me. He is walking and talking but his speech is a little slow and he tires easily so he sleeps a lot.He still has a neck brace due to broken vertebrae in his neck. His broken ribs are healing and the brain swelling has receded(it had swollen 6 mm and shifted to the RHS 4 cm.He still has some issues to deal with and the medical costs are amazing!! He has another CAT scan booked for Tuesday and with all these X-rays and stuff I think he glows in the dark. He is ex Special Forces and has a thick head so that probably helped. The funny thing is that all he was concerned about was how his bike was and getting another Hoodlums shirt as the doctors cut his last one off. See you all at the grand opening.
Holy shit! They sewed his ear back on straight! Now how in the hell are we supposed to identify him from behind?
I won't be able to make it guys----I'll be in Atlanta at the Drive-Invasion but I can definitely get you some shirts and what not for the auction for Teddy. Marcy
Hope everyone can make it out to celebrate Teddy's speedy recovery! It makes us so proud to know such a great guy like Teddy won't let his injuries keep him down. Send our love and well wishes to Teddy for us Steve. We are getting at least a dozen emails a week here at the shop about his recovery status. I'll let everyone know how he is doing.
Hey Lux Actually his left ear is now slightly lower than the right one so his glasses sit crooked!!! See you and Debra next weekend and I still owe you a meal.
Most recent update!!! The band Honky just confirmed and we are working on few other special surprises so keep checking back. Hot Rods and Honky, Bikes and Bar-B-Que. What more could you ask for?
