I painted it yellow back in the 60s. Most were red.

I've still got mine that I ran in the 60's. You set it up just like 2 separate 4cyl ignition systems which they are. A coil, points set, condenser and a balast resistor for each side. I can't remember the dwell setting but I remember you had to use the 4cyl scale on the dwell meter.

The points in the the stock distributors would "float" at high RPMs. The 4 lobe cam was supposed to reduce the float and let the coil recharge longer between firings.

I'm using an origanal Spalding Daul Point / Daul Coil in my 29 Sedan (before the buy out to Grant).
It's a very nice unit and enjoy the looks of it. If your is in good condition use it. I had to have mine rebuild and took it to a friend of mine here local and have had no problem in over 7,000 miles so far.

I was lucky enough to score an NOS one, in the orignal box, with the manual. I dont have a scanner, and my digital camera is broken, but I might be able to find one to use. Shoot me a PM and remind me if you dont hear from in in a few days

    Thanks,
    Cory
