  5. Strictly an amateur comment, but how do you think it would work if you got the pic down to a very faint outline, printed it on some quality paper and took pen and ink or pencil to it to bring out the highlights?

Kinda like tracing, only directly on the paper.

Dig that you are trying to learn stuff to do with your pics, but never mistake filters for creativity.

Can I get a BIG AMEN to that?

...here's where I ended up. Sketch, scan, redraw, etc. Maybe what Monkey showed you is close to what you want? Sorry, but I think anything beyond that will have to be drawn by a hand that is attached to someone with an "eye". I'm sure there are plenty of those types here to help you. [IMG] For what it's worth I think the quick and dirty job Monkey could have a decent look in the right context.

Yeah that's kinda what I am looking for surf.
I have a buddy that does T shirts and I thought if I made my own designs and had the screens burned he could pull the ink for me. I just need to lose a lot of the blotchiness, if that's a word. [IMG]

  14. you can lose or add as much `blotchiness` as you want...it`s all done by taking the original image and changing the `threshold`....if the final image is pixellated, just print it out and smooth the edges with a thin marker...

    heres one more
