Some of you guys may have already done this in your home town, if not, it is a great thing to do for everyone involved. Last month the Greasepit Misfits along with some othe misc. gearheads had a small cruise in at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. They played 50's music and provied snacks and refreshments for everyone. They had a ball seeing the old cars and talking to some new people about old memories. Some walked aroud on thier own and others were in wheel chairs, but they were all having a great time. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My car is the black deuce coupe. Remember, we will all grow old unfortunately.

A few years back my club did this too. We also donated a huge big screen TV for their lounge, which was very much appreciated (and easy on old eyes). TVs are cheap now, get your club involved! Gary

  19. Very cool. We did this years ago up in Minneapolis when my wife was activities director for a nursing home. It was a really cool night! I think the SD Vagabonds may have to hit the Veterans home when I get teh Tudor running.

  22. Kudos to you Man.

They do something similar at a Veterans Home a few miles West of me. Been doing it for years. You're right, we're all gettin there, ....... if we're lucky. I hope someone remembers US when that day comes.

Thumbs up to you and your buddies.

    Nice work you guys.
The Pair A Dice cruisers put on a car show and bar B que at a local nursing home every year.
We take pictures of the people by their favorite car with a Polaroid camera and give to the people. The stories of their youth in cars like ours is worth the show alone.

Nice responses guys. I originally had in mind with this thread was to plant a seed. I think it will be growing in more places than I imagined.

Years ago in Denver our clubs got together and did a poker run to a bunch of nursing homes. We had it set up so they had to stop there cars ,get out to get a card so the old people could get a close up of all the cool old cars.It was cool to see the faces glow with a smile as memories were coming back from happier days of there lives. I had one JUST like that only a different color! - was the first thing they said. We heard the coolest stories from them.
