So I have been on leave for a week now and just got around to taking the 40 Chevy for a little ride this afternoon. As I was cruising down by the beach I see a very weathered but strikingly beautiful 41 Ford pick up in my rear view. So I snap a shot and was able to talk the guy, a cool dude by the way into letting me get some pics of his truck and my sedan side by side. All in all it was a great day. Thanks Given. Oh and this truck had a cool story as well the cool dude who owns it bought it from the second owner a few years ago. He has had to do a number of repairs to make it road worthy, but the guy he got it from put desoto bumpers on it a Chevy bed and a few other custom touches when he was in high school back in the early sixties. Then he got married and parked it in about 1967 and that's how it sat in a SoCal barn till it was bought by the current owner a few years ago. Cool little truck. Semper Fidelis
cool rides, looks like a good day for a cruise. plz put up some more pic of sunny weather so i can live vicariously, its cold as hell down here. i've got icicles on my icicles
Man that's just perfect right there! We'll have to get together when I get back in a few months... Viva
First off thanks for your service. Nothing beats driving Pacific Coast Highway in a hot rod. The stretch from Oceanside to Solana Beach is just wonderful and a real time warp. Sleepy little California surf towns take you right back to the '60s. Just one of the most relaxing trips you can take for no good reason other than because you want to. Great day and neat to meet up with a like minded hot rodder.
Hell yeah I do!! I need more photos of the beach and the Hotrods.... and maybe a few bikinis thrown in
If you've got a couple more days come on up to El Mirage this weekend. The dry lakes season opener is on. P.S. EVERY day is a great day in SoCal. Even if you have to go to the DMV
God I miss So-Cal!!!!! I love San Clemente!!!!! was one of the last " affordable " beach towns in the early 90's. I am sure its off the charts now.
Man the power plant threw me-for a second I thought you were up by Huntington-but then I noticed the sand!!LOL
that's givens truck, he lives a couple blocks from me, real nice guy with some cool cars. great pictures that drive from tamarack to ponto is one of my favorites
