    then there were the Grand Spalding adds too, dyno tuned and calibated my Mr Norms;)

    sad thing is when i lived up there in chi town i never couuld get anyone to take me.late 60s early 70s. but i still can hear the radio commercials in my head.lucky for me i moved back up there in the late 80s for a yr or so and took my 55 to gld.i got to run her there and thats something i will never forget.

    good crowd yesterday. kinda hot and a bit short on racers.

    but plenty of action to keep the crowd entertained.

    I only got five runs in all weekend

    The 48 ang.wild willys should say driver dan on top if so that was Dan Gunlocks last race car from Wheeling Il. The others were Mr Honk 55 chevy and 41 willys coupe He was high school buddy

    Just f*****g incredible, and so sad to read. Drag racing is one activity that really brings people
    together. Of course, with what's been going on in Chicago recently it's not particularly surprising
    that gun violence has spread out to even a drag strip.

    Damn, grew up at that drag strip. No gangs at the strip then, just gear heads, sad to read this. Times are a changing.
