I know this OT, but I can't help to to try to help spread the word on this horrible situation.

If you have never been to Ed Walden's Bar you've missed out on a good ol' fashion treat! A good friend of mine has taken seriously ill, Barry Walden owner of Ed Walden's Bar & Old Time Gas Station in the Greater Daytona Beach area needs help! (doc's have given him 2 mos to live - no health insurance - he felt fine & then in a blink did not fell fine )

There will be a In-House Poker Run from Noon till Midnight Saturday, July 25th, There will be 50/50's, Raffles, Bands, Great Food - Rick will be cooking Ribs & Chicken & More. This will continue the next day Sunday the 26th with the same but with a Chinese Auction added to the venue starting at 1pm.

Today is the 1st of this 2 day benefit.

 

I worked with someone who was some what related to him and went to check out the bar and and did not look like it was open so I did not stop,it was a few years ago when I was at the turkey run and might have been too early in the day but will call the guy I worked with and let him know he is not doing well.

 

Barry Walden is one of the nicest people you could want to met - life can be very unpredictable - he is in his 50's - thank you for p***ing the word on.

 

I called him and he knows he is not doing well and if I was down that way I would stop by help out.

 

I am hoping they do another run of some kind so I can manage to get there - I only found out about this Thursday. Tomorrow is a memorial run in Indy for Kristian Ophof, Thom from GodSpeed's daughter, so much bad stuff in the air
