Hey guys, this coming weekend is the Sloan summer auto fair, and I was wondering who all was planning to attend, and when...

It's Saturday and Sunday, but it's honestly not a show that I could spend two solid days at without going on a shooting spree.

Normally, we've gone on Saturday, and just didn't go back on Sunday, but I've heard mention of some of "the crew" only going Sunday this year!

I know that our Club decided it was an event we were attending, but even WE never discussed when!

    So, like I originally said...

    Who's going?

    When are you going?

Let me know, and maybe we can meet up somewhere and convoy in!

    Thanks!
    Steve

  2. This probably won't help but, I'm game for either/or. I have a ton of house stuff to do right now, but whatever day everyone plans on going I should be able to make it.

I will likely make an appearance on saturday, take a look around the swap and show, and leave shortly there after... my car is staying home though.

Ok, well mostly as I was posting this subject, Kritz and I were talking about it... He said that he was going to post this info here following our discussion, but I guess not!

It seems we're going to meet at the Tattoo shop at 8am SATURDAY, and roll to the Sloan from there... the show goes until 5, but we'll probably be out a little before that... We will discuss plans for Sunday at the show Saturday...

Anybody that wants to roll with us is more than welcome to meet at the shop...

Steve... that's a little too early for some of us tri-cities guys. I think our wives are coming as well so I know it's WAY too early for them:rolleyes: If you can park where Frank, Donnie and me can join in. Where we were last year was great.

well, i tried to put a post up yesterday....but for some reason the hamb kept re-directing me to some website not found thingy-jigger.
so anyways...steve pretty much summed it up, saturday at the shop for those who can make it....for those who are coming from further, we will do our best to reserve spots (which shouldn't be a problem since the regular participants WON'T want to park by us!!!)

i will more than likely be there on saturday as well as sunday....we can also work out some sort of meeting time for sunday on sat.

if anyone wants anything striped, let me know....i'll make ya famous!!!!! hahahaha.....silly flint journal!

Paintfumes blew snot out of his nose, Hopefully it's wiped up before the shop meeting on saturday, cause if he's behind the 39 on the way in he'll have snot burgers and bias ply powder for brunch! Looks like the truck will be there, I have to lengthen my pitman arm so it steers better than a semi but it should be there. It sure is ugly right now, most of the filler work is about 65%, its fine for the summer though. I should be able to meet at the shop....I better, I have no effin idea where the show is at! if I am not there right at 8 just listen for me, you'll hear me if I'm coming!:D

    I'll believe it when I see it! :D

So if the old guys are bringing chaperones, does that mean we actually have to behave???

FYI: I'll be bringing a huge cooler with pop/water that the club payed for. It's free beverage for "friends of the Nightmares" which includes any HAMB members (Except Jdubbya... that guy sucks; and NOT in a good way!:D), so help yourself...

We'll have Mt Dew, Diet Mt Dew, Pepsi, Diet Coke, and water... If you want anything that's not listed, bring your own and we can make room in the cooler for ya!

    See you ladies Saturday!

Hey how far is the show from the shop? The shop is like 35 miles from my house, I was just curious how many times i would have to stop for gas!
    No faith steve, no faith.....

  15. I think it's under 5 miles or so... just a guess though. You should make it from the shop to the show on one tank... maybe!!! :p

It's approximately 1 mile from the tattoo shop to the show.

Hopefully we can all make THAT drive without breaking anything or running out of gas!

And there's a gas station about 1/2 mile from the shop (in the opposite direction), so we could all gas up for the trek to the show if necessary!:D

    And Denise, that's funny!
    Funny 'cuz it's true!!!!:D

I'm not sure if Frank ever saw the "naptime" pics from Billetproof! :)

Well, I'm up for one or the other but I can't do both (don't have the funds for that right now).
George, let me know if you're going so I can bring the T-Bird seats.

$15 at the gate, which will get you and a passenger in Saturday and Sunday (as well as free admission into the museums, etc...).

for those of you who have never been to the sloan show....just a little info that might peak your interests....
the show has a different highlighted "exhibit" each year...2 years ago, they featured old campers, motorhomes, and whatnot....last year it was prototype racecars or something...i can't recall, i was too sunburned to care.

there is also a decent swapmeet there, lots of junk to pick through with the occasional treasure to be had.

the museums are really quite cool...there is the sloan museum which has a little of everything, and the buick gallery which features a nice collection of stock and resto cars, as well as some pretty wild prototypes.
definately a good time if you have children....theres also a playground there i believe...and the flint public library and the flint institute of art and institute of music are right across the street.

jdubbya will not have his car there as he will be offering his world famous "tours of the ghetto" to those who are interested...see real live crackheads, oogle at real hookers, maybe even get carjacked!!! look for the shortbus with "ghettofabulous" emblazoned on the side....joe even supplies the bulletproof vests!

Oh yeah, they also have pretty good breakfast and lunch buffets there, which if I remember correctly, were reasonably priced...
