The Robert willams metal masters poster.

  2. Like I said in the original post... there's no question mark in the title.

If you really feel that way, you're on the wrong web site.

Traditional rods and customs aren't "fads".

  6. I like the car to be the center of attention in car magazines... there are different magazines where the women are the center of attention!

But if you want a great poster with a chick it would have to be this one...

Otherwise My vote for the Best Poster is the "White Knuckle Ride" by Robt. Williams...

I'd rather see a photo of that car without the chicks. they have all the good parts covered up, so why bother.------------------------------I got a thing for lots hair and too much make up, 'sides T and A always look better with something skanty over 'em. Looks like a winner to me!!

That car and the girls are beautiful , a couple small changes to both and they would be even better . I think that car was a big deal at the time because it was surrounded by peach and turquoise rides with Boyd wheels , people saw how cool it was if they had any taste .

Screw theses clowns! I dig that poster and I still miss the big hair days, not the screwed down thight short yuppie styles they wear now.

Maybe if that poster sported a couple of semi nude dudes rather then chicks, some of the guys on this board would be more into it!!!......Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!!

  12. Haha I just found that issue of American Rodder in some old mags the other day.....that coupe is timeless! Those gals aren't bad either.....

Nope, not Lancers. Those were cheap aftermarket caps and were not considered cool in '58-'60, when they were sold.

  14. But they're cool now because they're 50 years old. ;)

not hot rod related, but i prefer "haulin ass" lol

  16. Missed this first time round Boris. Gotta agree with you. Sadly missed mag. American rodder was a good way to get a traditional hot rod fix in a sea of pastel and tweed....

  17. I remember back in that time period when the wife had the big hair, the killer figure, and the all-over tan. Damn, I miss those days........

Back to the OP, that wouldn't be my pic for the greatest hot rod poster ever, but it sure beats some of the "models" they have nowadays posing next to cars. Today, all you see are girls covered with ugly tattoos, marginal figures, goofy 1940s-era hair styles and way too much make-up.

If you ever wanted to see smoking hot bikini models, all you had to do was go to a Bug-In in Southern California back in the '80s. In the bikini contest, even the last place girl would smoke anything you see in a magazine today. Those contests alone were worth the cost of admission to the show!!

The '80s were not that bad at all.

Right on, dude. 'They' only remember the bad parts of the past. Or maybe tinge of sour grapes.
