Greatest novel when I was a kid,.. "Hot Rod"

I don't remember when I purchased H. G. Felsen's Hot Rod, but I was caught reading it several times in mid '50s grade school! My fist hard bound book was Hot Rod It--and run for fun!, by Fred Horsley, about the same time. I still have both.
