Biggest traditional rod show in Queensland - the scene is realy small here so cars run from aibrushed Elvis paintjobs to painfully "KOOL" tm ratrods - in between there are some seriously nice rides . Heres a taster...
Ahh Ohh..........someone got busted.........I sometimes do not understand not driving hotrods/kustoms.
The guy probably isn't finished yet and wants to bullshit about his car anyway. It was cool enough to take a picture of right?
I dig the coffin gas tank on the bike. Any pics of that 59 4 door? What do "traditional" Aussie Rods look like John
A quick sample....sadly 'true' representations of 'Traditional are few and far between.....but they DO exist. Cheers, Drewfus PS. Steve, were there any more shots of the trailer queen A, conceptually neat and interesting..
Heres the story on the trailer queen It was done for fun by a Queensland Rodder he threw it together for Greezfest, trailered it there and drove it in. Axles were solid mounted as well. radius rods were bolted together. But it looks cool. Later Troy
Sadly Drewfus is right, as can be witnessed by the pics shown above... But slowly there are a few more being pieced together, just most seem to avoid the major show scene....
What do "traditional" Aussie Rods look like John[/QUOTE] Well, we start with some nose art by airbrushing a mural on the cowl of some aborigines doing a traditional corroboree and usually hook a coupla kangaroos to the front to pull us along - sheesh! Traditional Aussie hot rods look like er traditional hot rods (go figure!?!) oh but they do have the steering wheel on the right hand side.
Thanx mate, always a treat to see some rides from your place. Cool to see cars indiginous to Australia that we never get to view. That Violater two looks tough enough. nice pix ! ~Sololobo~
This would be a fairly "taditional" Aussie Rod. It was the prize in the first raffle run by the Australian Street rod Federation and has been maintained in the same condition by the raffle's winner.
