Sorry but the pics are dark..could someone please lighten them for me! 8hrs of wirewheelin got the body down to metal. theres Lead, fiberglass and Gallons of bondo!!
Lookin good bro. Hey if you don't want the bondo, lead, and glass could I have it back? I might want to use it on the next bucket I get.
Tim, haven't you ever watched Kung Fu? The old master was blind as a bat and still kicked everybodys ass? Mike is probably developing some kind of supernatural sense that lets him build cars in complete darkness. BTW way to go, grasshopper...
Its not that dark in here for real!! just not good for flash pictures. I have overhead lights and tripod loghts as well for working after dark! the body needs some hammering and patch work but its REAL steel and all there! hmmmmmmmmmmmm bare metal with a clear coat would just be to cool. Id have to move out west again
I just got back from the STO!! Im gonna run the fuel line tonight(I went with the 3/8 lines) Then Ill get Nads and his Galvanized Conduit over here and bend up some rails and inner structure

ok the fuel line has been ran and the EGR valve block off plate purchased. and again Im posting to see myself post
Don't know for sure where the battery goes in the T's, but here's suggestion and a pic. Build yourself a battery box out of 1/2 x 1" x .083 wall. Or .060 wall or whatever wall you got. The one shown has four 3/16" horizontal tabs that bolt to threaded bungs in the seat belt/roll bar laterals crossmember in front and a 1 1/2" round tubing bolt-in crossmember for the rear. The round crossmember also has threaded bungs for the tailpipe hangers which are SB Ford aluminum con rods bored out for the 2 1/2" tailpipes. I have a set of BB Ford con rods, but need to get around to installing them. Anyway, the battery box is in front of the rear axle and up against the right side frame rail. The aluminum sheet metal pieces pop riveted on are heat shields. Not needed if your muffler is not so close. The battery box has an 18 gage stainless sheet metal floor with a 1/2" thick neoprene pad on top of that. Battery is retained by a 1/4" aluminum bar across the top with a pair of round neoprene 1/2" biscuits between bar and battery. The battery is protected from vibration along with being well secured and the mounting will pass NHRA and the like. I run an Optima battery, but a wet cell works fine as well. Nice part is, since it's not exposed to underhood heat the water/acid level doesn't drop too fast. In three years I only had to top it off once. The battery can be a pain to check cuz you have to drop it, but it's not too bad. Also why I went to an Optima. The low battery helps lower the CG as well. Note that the battery box does not hang below the lower 4-bar. It's protected from stones and the like due to where it's positioned. If you did something similar in the T and assuming you have room as far as crossmembers are concerned, hanging it partway through the floor under the passenger side of the seat could be a very viable solution. Not to mention ease of maintenance.
Just so you're not talkin' to yourself. Heard it was cold in Tampa today. How's Orlando? Now back on topic, you make me sick, that bucket sat around here for 5 or 6 years and never did anything. Looks good as I already said. The Orphan found a good home (Dady Warbucks). In case you haven't decided run your brake lines in 3/16". Grins The PknBner
Jesus Mike, in the time it takes me to get motivated enough to fix my fucking blinker lights you build entire cars! Congrats man, that things looks tits. So what's up with switchbirdteeth's new pile?
Mike, You do not fuck around. That's some serious progress for such a short period of time. You must not be a parent Ed
Also, I spoke to my agent in Nashville about that 61 falcon wagon & he said he'd get some pictures sent to me by Monday or Tuesday. Do me a favor & PM me with your mailing address & I'll send 'em on over once they hit my mailbox. I don't have a scanner or I would just try to e-mail them to you. I'm just a caveman, and these complex electronic devices confuse & frighten me!
Ive been stocking up parts for about 6 mnths and I started building it the first of Jan.....and yes Im a parent. He's 4 and loves hot rods. so he understands why dad works late
