This was not the last. There was the Balony Slicer (Allison I believe) and #11 and #6. This may be the last piston Monster to exist. Fatdad

The "Balony Slicer" was a Ranger powered pusher-propeller dragster...The Slicer had a habit of throwing loose rocks/debris  at Art's competitors.

Hey Cyclone, thanks for posting that again. Had to wait months to see that stuff in HotRod, back in '59. Great to see a movie of it some 50 years later.

Always been a big fan of the monsters. That thing is just plain neat. And, likewise, it needs to be at the HAMB drags. It will be surrounded constantly.

Here's a few more pictures of the Dragster,I'll have it outside in a few days and will be able to get photos of the entire car,If there is ANYONE who was around in the 60's-70's that remember Jack and Jim Doll? They are the builders of this machine,Jim's still around and would love to hear from (see) some of his old friends,,you know where he is.

  20. Art was a class act. He always seemed to be enjoying himself even with one of his sled pullers in his later years.

One of Broadway Bob's signature is sitting on the Green Monster. There's a better picture out there that I can't find, but it's a side view (which shows the car in full form)
