“Warehouse West”. Boy does that bring back memories for a Renton kid. Speed Equipment Wholesalers was right down the street, I drove by it at least 3 times a week, every day when I was in high school. Bought my first Holley carb there in 1967. Warehouse West still shows up down in Renton, across the freeway from where I worked for most of 40 years. But I’ve never seen that delivery wagon around at the shows.
WOW........that was a truly "diverse" gathering.......especially liked the Dodge Power Wagon and assorted Willys Jeeps
Hey @tractorguy It was a great gathering indeed. This show happens each year, and its a big one. I could have shot more shots, but as you can see, I did capture a good cross section of interesting rigs and cars, that caught my eye. The kid in the hat with the long hair, smiling at his square fendered jeep, was really interesting to talk to, that is his jeep, and he did all of the work on the engine and what ever else the jeep needed. He is at the point where he is ready to trade it for something. The Jeep is his daily driver for work just as you see it, so he is ready to drive something else. He told me that he had been offered 11K for the jeep as it is right now, and that was a bit of time ago, and he turned it down. I told him, well that is a lesson to be learned. If that happens again, and if they can actually show you the 11 K in cash, by all means take it, and be happy, that you had the jeep for as long as you did. He smiled and said, you can bet that I will take the cash, and invest in something else. I know the feeling well, I grew up with those jeeps just like his, a friend of mine had one in high school, and we drove it everywhere, fun times in something with out doors, and built to be abused! Thanks from Dennis. Both of these compilations, are something I made, they are not the official car poster for the show, except for the one that is obvious.
