What's up, I'm new yadda yadda yadda...

I have been doing metalwork for the last 6 years full time. I have done most of it at Squeeg's Kustoms in mesa, az (Until an abrupt end, Thank god!!!). I love traditional Kustoms, that is my passion. Hot rods are cool, I hate street rods, or anything super dated. IMO just like most of my tattoos, if you go with something traditional, it will stand the test of time.

Which brings to mind the fact that I want to move to the L.A. area within the next couple of months. I am currently doing freelance work right now, and have a chop to do on a shoebox for Drew Brothers Customs in Chandler. After that I am out! Here is a link to my portfolio, if anyone is interested in checking it out. [1] http://www.flickr.com/photos/39556114@N00/show/. Oh well, drag it up to the URL finder! Do not judge it on style! Please! that is all D. Jergers stuff! But I think the craftsmanship is not bad. It could be better, but hell, I am still learning! LOL.

I do metal fab, metal finishing, welding, and lead work. So if anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer.

Which brings me to my question. I am about to buy a 1964 Buick Electra on bags. If you don't like the car, fine, I don't care. What I am asking about is the jewel under the hood. It is a 425 Nailhead, with 60,000 miles on it. I want to build it very traditional, with finned Offy valve covers, finned valley pan, finned spark plug covers, etc. Plus pull the engine and paint it gold with rootbeer kandy frosting. My question for you gearheads is, what intake would be best for a 425? I have found the dual quad (edelbrock 500's) from several vendors, which was a factory option, a set of six dueces from Eelco, and a tri-duece setup. I am more interested in performane than just sheer kool-factor. Any nailhead nuts got any suggestions, or other options?

    Thanx, Mike

It's been a while since I had a nailhead but I had a tri-power on it and was real happy with. Seemed to get goodf uel mileage and the power was there when I needed it. I had a set of Rochesters that I robbed from a GTO. Offy makes one and I think eelco has one also. Good luck.
