WOW, what a wealth of knowledge on this site! I am honored to be in your presents, so lets see where do I start. My dad brought me up to use my hands, whether it was fixing my bicycle or replacing that worn set of rod bearings. We had often discussed building a project together but when I reached that sacred age unfortunately neither of us had the time nor money for such a project. Well some 13 years later and many of hour of wrench on such things as S.C.C.A race cars to keeping the family car running for just one more year the time is finally here for the Father/Son build! This will be my first adventure into traditional rods, even though I have been chasing car show after car show for years now. Just recently after helping the old man drag a b.b. ford motor out of the back of the garage that he built 20 plus years ago I had this great idea. What was this great idea you may ask, well it involves rusty old Ford Steel and a whole lot h.p.... A few weeks went by and while helping a good buddy try and locate parts for a 32 Ford truck he is building we discovered it. A 53 F100 with the pieces that he need (a drive line swapped from something else) and frame and body (or whats left of it) for my father and myself to dedicate long hours and cases among cases of beer to, oh let not forget about piles of $$$$. You see since I was 4 years old I've dreamed of hearing that B.B. motor run and smelling the high octane exhaust fumes. I want to thank everybody on this site in advance, I can't wait to spend hours of time searching these detailed pages and drooling over the amazing pictures. I hope to be as helpful as possible while also seeking advice on our build. Thanks again for such a great site.......
