Hello everybody! My name is Kevin and I live up in Edmonton, Canada. I found this board through some internet searches, and it looks like I'll be happy I did. I've been involved with cars for quite some time now. Growing up, my dad always had an old car on the go, unfortunately for me he's a very busy man, and the type who doesn't have the time to work on a car himself. That left me out of the picture most of the time and my attention to cars drifted to imports. I've always had an admiration and desire for hot rods, but being exposed only to billet-clad trailer queens I felt they were far FAR out of my reach. My involvement with the punk rock scene gradually led into being exposed to rockabilly culture, where I saw for the first time what a real classic hot rod was like, the most important aspect of which was that they were attainable! My interest in imports has wained considerably since I've made that discovery, and I'm ready to break ties with my little japanese go-kart in favour of something more stylish. I've lusted for a shoebox ford for quite some time now, and have made it my goal to find a nice project to get started on.
