Hello, Been watching this site for sometime now. Lots of great information on the board. I am a programmer by day, but I'm always building something at the house. In high school I had a 1970 GTO and said I would never sell it. As so often happens I got married and out went the car. Stayed away from cars for a long while as we raised a family, but 5 years ago I bought a 1951 Willys CJ-3A and rebuilt it. Then it happened. My son wrecked his 1990 Chevy 4x4 so I bought him a 1962 C10, stock, with a 283 and cast iron powerglide. Powerglide is gone, and the '62 now has the '90 350 small block turbo 350. That left me with the '62 283 and '90 5-speed. That is when I discovered the HAMB. The HAMB put me on my current course of accumulating parts for a suicide front end. Hoping to cobble a model A frame next and start hang parts. Thanks, Tony PS - Those Willys flahead fours are great motors, saw someones post here yesterday.
Welcome to the HAMB El Greco! Maybe see ya around town. Dont forget the swap meet this weekend in CowTown.
Good to see you. I think I know someone about to sell a ratty but straight '71 Chevy longbed if you're interested.
I'm going to try and make it down there. I really like it at La Grave, close to the house, free parking (cheap skate at heart), and not TOO big like the one at the race track. My little legs get real tired.
Who told you that the two key words to get my attention are "ratty" and "CHEVY" ? My secret is out! Tony
You are real close to me. If you ever see a green '51 Willys Jeep or a primer gray '62 Chevy p/u running around, it's me or my son. Tony
