Greetings folks, I stumbled upon your site a few months ago researching a sub-project for a fire truck I'm restoring. Yes... a fire truck. Anyway, I found a lot of great information on here, so I decided to join up as a member. My fire truck may not be a true or traditional hot rod, but I promise my intentions are nothing but the best. Hope to be able to share lots of info back and forth here. Thanks! Damon
hello Iowa from a new hamber in Oregon. Been involved in the truck world all my working life..retired now and my only truck of interest is my 34 Ford p/u which needs to be put back together...anyway i wish you the best and good luck with your firetruck restoration.. a good help could be the American Truck Historical Society and their publication "Wheels of Time"; http://www.aths.org Again, welcome to the h.a.m.b.
Thanks for the welcome messages and the well wishes on the project. I just hauled my project truck home... it had been stored at my buddy's salvage yard. When I bought the project truck and the first parts truck, I didn't have a place to put them. bought some land a couple years ago, and we're finally able to get the trucks moved. Only got one moved the other day, the first parts truck was blocked in by scrapped vehicles, so we'll have to do some house keeping to get it out to bring it home. Here's a few pictures of the project truck, now at home.
Added photo albums to my profile. There will be more to come later, but at least you can see what I've got so far.
