Hello everybody. With the interest and project I am about to undertake I thought joining was a bit overdue. I am a reader of mostly vintage everything. Wood and metal working and all the machinery that goes with it. Early to mid 30's Indy race cars. The beauty and sound of all those fabulous engines. Especially the races with driver and I will call him navigator. Pumping fuel spotting for other cars on the track. I just had a great conversation with Tom Langdon this morning. Went out to Montana to pick up a 235 in line 6 out of a 60 chev pickup, which is going to be the engine in the car I am going to build. I will call it a mid 30's Indy car. I also have a chris craft continental which is going to get a facelift. it is driven a a beautiful 283 with a 4 barrel. 1959 vintage. Me and my wife live on a little hobby farm on the Mississippi river in North central Mn. I am a retired heavy equipment and machinery hauler and after 3,000,000 miles plus I certainly don't miss it. I have read a number of threads on the journal and have found it to be quite interesting and informative. Hello to all I am certainly looking forward. Thank you for reading.
