Hi, fellas. This is my first post, but I've looked to these boards many times in the past for advice while working out the kinks on my Camaro restoration. Thanks for that.

My grandfather was an avid collector of early Fords and parts and ended up p***ing away a few years back at the age of 98. If you guys have been around for awhile, you might have even spoken with him before, though certainly not online. He preferred US mail or the good 'ol telephone. Anyway, the reason I introduce myself like this is that he left quite an intimidating collection of goodies, and I've agreed to help my mom find homes for a lot of it. I'm not sure I want to start listing items in the cl***ified section, so if it's not against the rules, feel free to let me know what you're looking for, mainly in the realm of the flathead era (his '34 Cabriolet was his baby. ) I might just have it.

  2. Kenny welcome to the HAMB, I think. I'm having a hard time comprehending how anyone could sell their dads car, let alone a 34 Cabriolet. My dad is 87 and is still in good health. He was never into cars. But I did get the 67 Bonneville convertible that he bought new. The car I drove when I got my drivers license. You will have everyone droling over your car and, parts. I am sorry for the loss of your dad. But I do hope you think about keeping your 34. The're very easy to get rid of, but not so easy to get back. Sorry for the big brother rant.:) lol Ron......

Oh, haha! Yeah, it's not going anywhere. He managed to collect quite a lot of extra parts for it, though. That's what'll be up for grabs. No, the car is a family heirloom and was willed to my mom. Someday it'll be mine and maybe we can go for a cruise. You in your Bonneville, me in the 34? Sounds good to me.
