Hi everyone! What a great site this is! I have more threads bookmarked on this site than all others combined. So far, all of my hot rods have been musclecars gathered during the early '80s (when they were cheap). I made it to 4 great cars before the great economy caught up and I am now down to one - my '66 GTO which I have owned since 1979 at the ripe old age of 15. This was my first car and it will not be sold. While I have owned only musclecars, I have always loved the traditional hot rods. It runs in my blood as my dad raced a '34 sedan and a Triumph motorcycle in the 1950s at Martindale in San Antonio, as well as, tracks in California and Kansas. He would tell me stories of the "Bean Bandit" and other cool cars that he remembered. I still have his Road Runners C.C. plate. His last cool cars were a '59 Chevy convertible that he traded in on a new 1962 Fuelie Corvette. He sold the Corvette about the time I was born. I always wanted to replace that Corvette for him, but the opportunity always eluded me. He passed away in March and that has saddened me greatly. I really wish I had found this site sooner so he could have seen it. He would have loved this place!
Welcome, Austin here. I have been through Boerne many times on hill country motorcycle rides. Beautiful over there. 117harv, I bought my 61 Falcon wagon in Medford a few weeks ago, you might have seen in around town, a baby blue 4 door with a white top. Lots of classic cars up in Medford.
